I was
born and raised in Hart County and still live in the
Reed Creek area of Hart County, but my heart is in
Franklin County. I graduated from high school in
1994. I attended Emmanuel College where I obtained
a degree in Middle Grades Education. I did my
student teaching at FCMS with my mentor, Mr. Meadors.
It was then I fell in love with the faculty and teachers
at FCMS. I began teaching in 2001 at Lavonia
Elementary and moved to the middle school shortly after.
I have been teaching at the middle school for 6 years.
I have taught Georgia History, Math, Reading, and
Language Arts. I currently teach 8th grade
language arts.
I have a Masters of Arts
degree as well as a specialist degree from Piedmont
College in Demorest. I am currently enrolled in
the Master of Clinical Psychology at Brenau University
in Gainesville. I enjoy teaching, but I am working
toward a career in counseling and psychology.
I am happily married to
Jeffrey. I have 3 children: Jim - 9,
Carrie-Ann - 2, and JD - 1. I also have a stepson,
Logan -14, who lives in Illinois with his mom.
