I have lived in and around Franklin County all of my life. I graduated from Franklin County High School in 1983 and graduated from Emmanuel College in 1985. I opened Flowers From The Heart in 1995 and enjoyed owning my own business for 9 years until I felt a call to the field of counseling. I sold my business and headed back to Emmanuel College where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Grades Education in 2007. This will be my 4th year teaching at FCMS. I teach 7th Grade Language Arts, Social Studies, and Reading. I recently graduated from Clemson University with a Master’s Degree in School Counseling.
I co-sponsor “Wired” with Ms. Milford. “Wired” is a club for students who play an instrument, do stand-up comedy, write poetry...they have a place to perform in front of their peers at least once a month! Ms. Milford and I also offer performing tips to all of the students.
I will also be coaching 7th Grade Girls’ Basketball this year and am looking forward to the upcoming season!
I have been married for 25 years to another former FCHS graduate, David Hart. My son, Peyton, plays baseball at Kennesaw State University. We reside in the Sandy Cross Community and attend Peniel PH Church where I have served as the Music Director, church pianist, Christian Education Director, Sunday School Teacher, and Youth Director at various times over a period of 23 years.
I feel that it is an honor and privilege to be able to work with the students at FCMS. I hope to help them to prepare for a bright future, to be the best that they can be in all that they do.
Mrs. Hart is also the 7th grade Girls Basketball coach at FCMS.
