| All students must have a current pre-participation physical completed by a healthcare provider, as well as a parent consent form on file with proof of insurance provided, before being allowed to participate. Forms can be obtained from individual sponsors, and any questions about insurance should be directed to the main office. Students must also be academically eligible to try-out. Eligibility is based on last semester's grades (Fall 2009). |

| Franklin County High School will hold an Open House for 8th grade students and their parents on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 6:00 pm, at the FCHS Auditorium. Students will be able to get information about graduation requirements, elective courses, career pathways, clubs, and sports teams. Students will be able to visit the teachers' classrooms of electives courses, and students will also choose 9th grade electives. Counselors and administrators will be present, and there will be refreshments and door prizes. Students will receive 10 RAC points for attending or 1 homework pass, so be sure and plan to attend! |

| Congratulations to the following students who were selected as winners in the YGA writing competition. These students will go on to the RESA district competition: Dillon Brothers, 6th grade, Clark Gaines, 7th grade, and Sara Freeman, 8th grade. |

| SGA is selling t-shirts for $10 each. Students can buy t-shirts in the main office, media center, and cafeteria. |

| FFA is hosting a community service project in conjunction with Heart Ministry. Heart Ministry is a local Recovery Program for women afflicted with the disease of addiction. Many of these women arrive at Heart Ministry with nothing, and we would like to help provide for some of the everyday needs these ladies have when they arrive. A detailed list of products that can be donated has been sent home with students, who can receive RAC points for certain donations. |

| Beginning January 12th, Mrs. Collick will be available after school every Tuesday for any sixth grader to come and get extra help with science. We will meet in room 610 from 3:30-5:00. All students must have a ride by 5:00. Parents should send a note in the student's agenda or an email to Mrs. Collick on the days he/she will be staying after school.
